10 Reasons Why The Walking Dead Is Currently Better Than Ever
4. Redemption
Redemption has been one of the show's biggest themes over its last two seasons. With Rick and Carl gone, the rest of the Survivors have been doing all they can to make sure everyone gets a chance to a future, whether they've done bad things in the past or not.
The best example of this comes from the show's veteran big bad, Negan. Responsible for the deaths of Glenn, Abraham and all those lost to his war against Rick, Negan has come a long way. Now a member of the Survivors (with not everyone happy about it), he killed Alpha and has formed a surprisingly close bond with both Judith and Lydia.
Lydia herself is one of the show's most recent and brilliant additions. The daughter of Alpha and a former Whisperer, she has since cast aside her mother's insane ways and has spent her time living with and being cared for by Daryl, becoming a full-fledged member of the group.
The Grimes Boys would be proud.
