6. Trevor Proposes To Hilary - Where There's A Will, There's A Way
http://youtu.be/WfsXo1i75Rg In this episode we see air-head Hilary convincing Trevor to propose to her in a dramatic way. Trevor pulls out all the stops to show Hilary how devoted he is to her and the family all gather around the TV to watch Trevor propose to Hilary in a bungee jump live on TV. This episode is a fantastic example of how well each of the characters blended in a rare moment when we see everyone gathered together. The family dynamic in The Fresh Prince always provided much comedy, as the characters were finely calibrated to constantly bounce back and forth off each other. This scene is great as we see each character play their traits perfectly to show how well they mesh together and what ultimately made the show a success. Perhaps the funniest moment in this when Hilary doesn't understand the gravity (no pun intended) of the situation and in true dimwitted style selfishly complains about the government interrupting her wedding proposal with an announcement as the live feed is cut short. This scene just gave us too many reasons to laugh and in great comical style managed to make light of the tragic death of Trevor. It's also one of the few moments where I actually found Hilary's character funny, as usually she bored the life out of me to the extent that the 'spoiled-rich-girl' character ran out of comedy mileage even before the end of the first series.
