6. Helix
I only just discovered this show a couple of days ago, but I'm already intrigued. Virtually nothing outside the 40 second trailer is known about Helix. What we do know about the Syfy show is that it follows a team of CDC scientists investigating a potential outbreak in the Arctic, and that the outbreak isn't exactly a severe case of bird flu. The trailer is beautifully crafted and gives us a glimpse of what this sci-fi thriller will bring to the screen in January 2014. I think that Helix will end up to be one of the more high-quality television productions of the 2013/2014 seasons. Also, there's a lot of mysterious black goo in the trailer, so that looks promising.
