10 Sci-Fi TV Shows You Must Binge-Watch This Fall

6. The Walking Dead: World Beyond

If it wasn't entirely obvious from the title, World Beyond is the second spin-off of AMC's game-changing The Walking Dead.

Unlike both its parent show and the once-great spin-off Fear The Walking Dead, this two-season limited series takes a YA approach to the zombie apocalypse, telling the story of the first generation of kids to actually grow up in the unforgiving world Rick Grimes introduced us to all those years ago.

It's set 10 years after things went to hell and is more of a standalone world-building coming-of-age story than a sequel to the original show. And, if Fear's last two seasons (which were poor) are anything to go by, that might actually be a good thing.

It was originally supposed to air after the finale of its parent show in April, but with everything getting upended, it was shifted to October 4 (along with the finale of The Walking Dead). It will then air weekly after that, meaning that you can either follow along or wait for the 10-episode season to conclude before binging the whole lot just before Christmas.
