In what might have been the greatest casting decision in the history of Hollywood, Tommy Chong was brought in to play hippie burnout and World War II veteran Leo Chingkwake. He joins the cast as Hyde's employer at the Foto Hut in season two but disappeared from the series after season four.

In real life, Tommy Chong's son started a company that sold drug related paraphernalia over the Internet and was one of many such businesses targeted by a government investigations in 2003. As part of a plea deal to protect his wife and son, Tommy Chong spent nine months in prison which took him away from That '70s Show.

He returned in season seven and finished out the series as part of the cast.
