10 Signs You Know Way Too Much About That '70s Show

4. You Know Why The Actress Playing Laurie Changed

That 70s Show
Fox

Eric's older sister Laurie was an integral part of the series. She was an antagonistic presence that constantly tested the strong bonds held by the gang of friends that hung out in Forman's basement. She was expertly played by Lisa Robin Kelly, but became less prominent as the series went on.

Kelly suffered with alcoholism, and her conduct reputedly cost her the role of Laurie Forman. She was a big part of seasons one, two and three but was absent from season four. She did appear in a few episodes of season five but was replaced by Christina Moore in the role for season six. Laurie never appeared in the series again after her final season six episode, though she was occasionally referenced.

Lisa Robin Kelly tragically died in August 2013, shortly after entering rehab.
