Who would've thought that intergalactic coach holidays in the future would be so dangerous? 1987's Delta and the Bannermen features the Doctor and Mel - along with guest star Ken Dodd - transported on a coach holiday to a British holiday camp in 1959.

The rest of the plot is very bizarre, involving alien queen Delta giving birth to an egg which grows at an alarming rate whilst looking strikingly similar to a human child. Delta is pursued by the titular Bannermen before their plans to destroy Delta are foiled by bees and honey, of all things.

Delta and the Bannermen also manages to become an incredibly cringe-worthy rom-com at points, with Delta falling in love with the holiday camp mechanic Billy. To top off the hilarity of this story, two American CIA agents (Hawk and Weismuller) somehow get tangled up in this hot mess on the search for a missing satellite.

At only three parts long, Delta and the Bannermen may be short, but it's still guaranteed to give several laughs during its runtime.
