10 Star Trek Burns That Still Sting

4. Nuclear Annihilation?

Star Trek Carbon Creek

When this list began, it was not as readily obvious how many times the Vulcans would appear on it. However, they're back again, this time from Enterprise. Carbon Creek is one of the best episodes of the show's second season, telling the story of T'Pol's grandmother and her sojourn in America in the 1950s.

T'Mir, Stron, and Mestral are members of a Vulcan expedition that crash lands near the town of Carbon Creek. They transmit their distress signal but they will have to wait sometime until a rescue party arrives. In the meantime, they need to interact with the locals and find ways to survive. T'Mir and Stron are worried about any impact that they may have on Earth's development whereas Mestral, the most emotional of the bunch, throws himself into local culture, including a newfound love for I Love Lucy.

While Mestral becomes more and more enamored with human culture, the other two begin to despair at him. They receive a message to say their rescuers are on the way, which delights them but upsets Mestral. He gets into an exchange with Stron.

It's unfortunate that you'll be leaving these people without experiencing one thing they have to offer. Such as? Alcohol? Frozen fish sticks? The constant threat of Nuclear annihilation?

The line is as cutting as we have come to expect from the bitchiest race in the galaxy!
