Neil Patrick Harris is one of the few examples of a major child star who continues to enjoy fame as an adult. Many people today probably know him as playboy Barney Stinson from How I Met your Mother or even from fan favorites such as Joss Whedon's Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog and Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. Anyone who was around prior to the nineties, however, knows him best as Doogie Howser - a teenage doctor that ruled between 1989 and 1993. Understandably, it's Doogie Howser that brought Harris into his guest spot on Roseanne. In episode sixteen of season four Roseanne contemplates breast reduction surgery after throwing her back out. Eventually deciding upon the surgery, she has a strange dream when she's put under. In the dream she awakens from her anesthesia to discover that instead of a reduction she actually had her breast size almost doubled. When asked to see the doctor we discover that the genius behind her enormous boobs is none other than Dr. Doogie Howser himself. Whether or not Howser exists within the continuity of the show isn't established as this part of the episode was just a dream and Roseanne could have simply imagined him due to having watched the show. Though Harris was uncredited for the role his appearance is still one of the best guest appearances in Roseanne's nine year history. Are you a fan of Roseanne?
