10 Stupidest Decisions Made By Characters On The Walking Dead
3. The Group Never Mention The CDC To Anyone
The first major change from the comics was making the group visit the CDC in hopes of finding some answers regarding the virus, and possibly even some form of vaccine or cure.
Sadly, the group found out the depressing truth: There is no cure, there is no one working on one, and there is nothing left but the those surviving on their own.
This is a huge revelation that is never bought up again past the second season, which has to be one of the most infuriating things the show ever did. This issue first cropped up in the third season, where Andrea helps Milton conduct experiments on the dead to see if they retain any of their old selves, despite the fact she knows they do not.
Instead, she just lets Milton hopelessly work away.
Even worse is during season five, when the group meet Eugene and co, and are told he needs to get to Washington to work on a cure. The group are a little bit skeptical, but ultimately believe him.
But why? They were told by Dr. Jenner that the US Government had fallen, so some random man with a mullet shouldn't be able to trick them so easy. At least mention the fact you were at the CDC... maybe that would be useful for Eugene to know??
