10 The Simpsons Episodes That PISSED People Off

Every Man's Dream The Simpsons
20th Century

As time has moved on in the world, from Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire in 1989, Springfield has changed with it. Technology has evolved in the real world, and with the birth of the likes of smart phones and the internet, the Simpsons have enjoyed these leaps forward as well.

However, their ages have still stayed exactly the same. Homer has been in his late-30s from season one right through to the present day, and while many fans consider the original backstory he and Marge were given, growing up in the 70s and first having Bart in the early 80s, this has changed with the times.

There have been several episodes that have pissed fans off by chopping and changing the backstory of the Simpsons, but few have enraged them quite like season 32's 'Do Pizza Bots Dream Of Electric Guitars', in which Homer was depicted as growing up as a teenager in the 1990s.

This was difficult to compute for so many fans, particularly those who believed the show should have finished before being forced to make a change like this to its greatest ever character. Everything that was known about Homer from before the start of the show has been changed, and it's safe to say that fans don't like it.
