VERY, VERY WRONG. They absolutely won't. If you're watching this show with even the slightest hope of it all ending in a merry song and dance, I hate to be the one who breaks it to you but it really, really won't. If you've made it to the end of Season 5 with hope that Daenerys or Jon or Tyrion will 'win' and the White Walkers will drift away, you're sadly mistaken. George R.R. Martin doesn't do happy endings throughout his books, and while the eventual ending might have a somewhat triumphant feel to it, don't expect to leave your last torrented file with a warm, fuzzy feeling inside. It's impossible to predict exactly how Martin will draw it all to a close, but he knows he's got a huge chunk of the world in the palm of his hands, and he's brave enough to make them (us) all cry.
