Midway through the teaser, you see a young Shaw and several others climb into a metal sphere that looks like some kind of vessel. An educated guess would say that this is a submarine of some kind, although their uniforms look more akin to space suits. If they are submarines, however, this could be an early indication of one of the earliest dives into the hollow earth. Shaw, if he does indeed find evidence, could then present this to Randa, who is ready to take the idea forward.

From being the way that Godzilla moves about the globe so quickly, to being the home of Kong's ancestors pre-Skull Island, a lot of questions still surround the hollow earth. If the series is about to show one of the earliest attempts to explore it, then that is an exciting proposition.
