10 Things We All Do On Netflix

7. Do The "Babummm"

There are some noises and jingles in life that automatically connect you to feelings of joy. Who among us didn't wait with bated breath to hear the second loading screen noise when starting up their PlayStation 1? Then there's the opening G note on the piano from Welcome To The Black Parade that takes us back to our emo phases during the mid 2000s.

But the most satisfying noise of recent years is hearing that comforting Babum sound followed by that kind of high pitched ringing noise (it sounds like this: W O U O U U O H) signalling that your evening of relaxation is about to begin.

Much like the E.A. SPORTS - IT'S IN THE GAME jingle, the Netflix opening noise has become an iconic and instantly recognisable sound to millions of us across the world.

Whether or not you appreciate the jingle (which by the way has definitely changed over the years, the W O U O U U O H has gotten longer and fades out more) there is nothing more satisfying than perfectly timing your own Babum W O U O U U O H in sync with it.

I see my role at WhatCulture the same way my wife sees my role as a lover: I contribute in a very small way, my presence is barely noticeable and I’m not entirely sure if the laughter is at me or with me.
