Everybody seemingly knows a Trigger, a dim-witted friend who is unintentionally the funniest member of the group.

In Only Fools & Horses, Trigger is known for always getting Rodney’s name wrong. It’s a running gag throughout the series that he always calls him Dave, no matter how many times people try to tell him Rodney’s real name.

But do you know what Trigger’s real name is?

Although it’s never mentioned on screen, it can be found in cast listings for the show and was later revealed in Rock & Chips, the spin-off prequel to Only Fools & Horses.

Therefore, we can reveal that Trigger’s real name is (drum roll please)… Colin Bell.
