More recent than many of the instalments listed here, this 2015 effort is also unfortunately more frustrating and unfunny than a lot of the show’s earlier attempts at trolling.
In the misjudged story of this episode, Homer and Marge break up for what must be the umpteenth time, prompting them to seek out new partners, thus introducing us to the episode’s, er, divisive guest star as Homer begins dating Lena Dunham.
The Girls star plays, essentially, Lena Dunham, and eventually the entire escapade is revealed to all be a dream...
This one is probably the most blatant trolling in the show's history, but it still left us saying come back, Armen Tanzarian, all is forgiven.
