10 Times The Simpsons Ruined Homer's Life
5. Bart’s Creation Of Angry Dad
As even casual viewers of The Simpsons will know, Homer is one of the most reckless and impetuous characters on TV. By his own admission, the fact that he’s just so impulsive is the reason he has so many impossible adventures.
This can also be linked to his lack of control of his emotions. He’s one of those people who has absolutely zero filter: whatever he’s thinking or feeling, everyone else is going to know all about it. When it comes to his emotions, his temper is legendary.
In “I Am Furious (Yellow),” Bart’s ambition to become a cartoonist leads him to create Angry Dad, a strip about Homer and the silly situations that infuriate him. Angry Dad becomes an Internet sensation, and in turn, Homer himself is publicly mocked and goaded by everybody in Springfield. Homer’s efforts to suppress his rage threaten his life, and it’s only an ultimate prank at his expense that saves him (not that the family knew this until Dr. Hibbert explained it all).
