10 Transformers Who SWITCHED SIDES

6. Wheeljack (Armada)

Everyone's favourite Autobot engineer. Yeah, not this version. Transformers: Armada's Wheeljack is only concerned with one thing... Revenge!

In this iteration, Wheeljack spent the majority of his time coming up with increasingly roundabout ways of destroying his former Autobot partner Hotshot . Thousands of years before the start of Armada, he and Hotshot got caught in a blazing inferno on Cybertron. Wheeljack became trapped under rubble, and when Hotshot went to get help but never returned, he justifiably assumed that he had been abandoned. Just when he had given up hope, who emerged from the flames to save him? None other than Megatron.

Beliving the Autobots had left him to die, Wheeljack joined the Decpticons without hesitation. While he never bore a purple Decepticon insignia, he did sport a scarred and burred Autobot crest upon his chest as a reminder of that fateful day.

While it is a truly great take on the character, his one note and, quite frankly, convoluted quest for vengeance against Hotshot grew quickly tiresome.
