10 TV Cancellations We're Still Not Over
4. Hannibal
Like so many other cancelled shows, Hannibal found itself beaten by low ratings despite its brilliant plot and characters. Following FBI criminal profiler Will Graham and his interactions with psychiatrist/serial killer Hannibal Lecter, the series acted as a solid and critically acclaimed addition to the numerous adaptations of Thomas Harris' novels.
It was axed after its third season, which ended on a literal cliffhanger and saw fans begging for a renewal, and since 2015 there have been many discussions about the show's revival elsewhere. Amazon Video and Netflix have both been approached to pick the show up for a fourth season, but as of yet none have taken the bait.
Though the most likely to see itself back onto our screens at some point (outside of Daredevil), Hannibal currently remains without a network to back it. On the plus side, the brilliant Mads Mikkelsen has stated numerous times that he's interested in coming back to the role, so fingers crossed someone makes a move and give us more stylish carnage to admire.
