10 TV Characters That Disappeared Without A Trace

3. Monica Dawson - Heroes

NBC

One of biggest tv series' let downs of the 21st century was NBC's Heroes. The show got off on the right foot, promising a superhero series with a unique twist. But, when the 2007 writer's strike hit, Heroes became one of the many shows that crumbled in the wake of that war.

Heroes had just started season 2 when the writer's strike started, and the season was cut down from 20+ episodes to only 11. But quantity wasn't the only thing effected by the strike, the quality also depleted in droves thanks to writing inconsistencies, plot holes, and pointless character introductions and arcs.

Probably the worst example of this was the introduction, and subsequent dropping, of the character Monica. Monica was a waitress that had the unique ability to learn any skill just from watching someone else do it.

For example, she learnt how to wrestle from watching it on TV. The possibilities were endless for the character, and it seemed that she would level up to a main character for season 3.

But when season 3 came around, Monica was nowhere to be seen. There was no mention of her from any of the other characters, and all evidence of her was wiped completely from the show.

Perhaps her powers were too similar to main character Milo's? Who knows, all we know is that the quality of the show was definitely evident in their sloppy treatment of Monica.

Lily thought it was about time she wrote Top Ten lists for people other than herself. She also owes her dog a lot of money so she thought it was about time to pay her dues. There is no tv show she likes that she hasn't seen at least twice.
