10 TV Characters Who Were Perfectly Cast (The Second Time)

6. Becky - Roseanne

Game Of Thrones
ABC

ABC's long-running and once cherished sitcom Roseanne has seen its fair share of chopping and changing over the years, with the series most recently even binning off the titular lead and reverting to the title of The Conners.

Long before this high profile shift, however, another featured member of the Conners clan was adjusted as the character of Becky Conner-Healy underwent a major change-up from Season Six onwards. Lecy Goranson decided she was more interested in completing her education than appearing on TV and left the show to go to college in 1992.

So, following this departure, Sarah Chalke was drafted into the role of Becky and the show proceeded to revel in the character's evident change of look with numerous gags referring to her "odd" appearance, definitely making for a funnier turn overall.

Strangely enough, Goranson would later return to the role in Season Eight - though Chalke still stepped in when she wasn't available - but left for realsies before the next season. Sure enough, she'd rock back up in the show's revival later down the road as Becky again and looks to be keeping hold of her part for the foreseeable... or until Chalke fancies another dig, I suppose.
