10 TV Characters You Forgot Were Recast
7. Jesus Adams Foster - The Fosters
Noah Centineo... the dream of, what seems to be, every tween and teen at the moment. For most non-teens, Centineo appeared to blow up because of his role in the Netflix teen rom-com To All The Boys I've Loved Before. But he actually rose to fame on the drama show The Fosters.
Centineo played the adopted son of the couple and twin brother of Mariana, Jesus. Jesus had ADHD and was a passionate member of his school's wrestling team, until he was caught taking steroids.
Centineo played the character very believably, but you may not remember that he did not originate the role. The role actually went to Jake T. Austin in the beginning; Max from Wizards Of Waverly Place.
Jake was very endearing in the role, but left because his character was going to be severely cut down in season 3. There were whisperings that Austin left because he was tired of playing teenagers, but the actor shut down those rumours online.
But Austin didn't really go on to do much else after that, and people subsequently forget he'd ever appeared on the show. Especially in contrast to Centineo, who is pretty much EVERYWHERE at the moment.
