7. What Happened To Caitlin? - Heroes

You might remember Heroes as something that everybody thought, for a time, at least, was "the best show ever," only for their expectations to explode inwardly as the show became what is arguably "the worst show ever."

That aside, Heroes was - generally speaking - a big ol' mess, and by the time it got to its second season, plot threads were being scattered around and abandoned like a Leprechaun had been let into the writer's room. And no plot thread was left quite so abandoned as that which dealt with the fate of Peter Petrelli's Irish girlfriend Caitlin.

During one episode, Peter accidentally uses his time travel powers (yes, you read that right) to transport himself and Caitlin to a kind of futuristic Nazi Germany, complete with concentration camps and general downbeat mood. It's a grim place, so Peter travels back to the present and everything is fine. Except it's not, because he just abandoned Caitlin in the terrifying future. And due to writer's strike that was going on at the time, the Heroes writers decided that this was the kind of plot point that they could leave to fester.

It was never resolved, and Caitlin, we presume, will have to have a serious chat with Peter should he ever go back for her. No nookie for a week, at least.
