It turns out you won't like him when he's angry, after all.

That's because, despite very much being brought to life by the brilliant Tatiana Maslany (with a little CGI assistance, of course) and the towering Malia Arrayah as an on-set reference for the hulking hero herself, She-Hulk was actually played by a dude at one point during the show's season finale.

Coming during the hilarious throwback sequence that sees the show pay homage to the 1970s' The Incredible Hulk TV series, instead of throwing Arrayah into the CGI-less scenario, none other than pro bodybuilder Devon Lewis was painted green and given a wig for the opening.

And as Lewis himself would note in a TikTok post revealing behind-the-scenes footage of him She-Hulk smashing on set, just about nobody watching on had any idea Jennifer Walters' alter-ego was being brought to life by a man in this particularly brilliant spin on that classic Marvel intro.

So, the next time you take this MCU series for a spin, keep an eye out for Lewis going full Lou Ferrigno during a barmy Savage She-Hulk sequence that definitely set the tone for one of the most insane endings in recent TV history.
