The Problem Solverz was an animated show created by Ben Jones, who had hoped to design something that could adapt to different forms of media. The show is a 2D animated style, with Jones hoping it would translate well to comic books. The initial designs occured when he was still in primary school, which may explain some of the simpler character sketches.

Critics were not kind to the show, despite its impressive voice cast. Trek alumni James Avery, Michael Dorn and George Takei all lent their voices to the doomed show. One critic said that the style was reminiscent of Atari 5200 graphics, while another slated the show for it being, in his opinion, uninteresting and challenging to watch, with the visuals and sounds weird for weirdness' sake.

Although the art itself received some praise, another damning review of the writing described it as unfunny, underdeveloped and uninspired. Perhaps this is the reason why Takei and the others don't lead with this show on their CVs these days. It was cancelled after two seasons, killing Jones' hope for a media empire based on his designs.
