10 TV Shows That Abandoned Awesome Ideas Halfway Through

7. Oceanside - The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead dropped a lot of storylines and characters during its eleven-season run on AMC, but one of the biggest sources of frustration for fans came by way of the woman-led community Oceanside.

Despite playing a major role in the All Out War arc of seasons seven and eight, and then joining the other, larger communities in a new coalition following Negan's defeat, it became slightly odd and impossible to ignore the fact that Oceanside were written out of the series... and then never really seen or mentioned again.

This means that promising characters such as Cyndie and Rachel were never given the growth or screentime they probably deserved, and Oceanside was left out of the show's later action. Even when they came back in the final season, their fate was left oddly ambiguous.

The black sheep of The Walking Dead's expansive collection of communities, Oceanside never got the respect or development they deserved. And when they were gone, no one seemed to care. What a waste.
