10 TV Shows That Just Got Cancelled

4. Schmigadoon!

The Flight Attendant
Apple TV

A fun musical comedy with an all-star cast (including Keegan-Michael Key, Cecily Strong, Ariana DeBose, Jane Krakowski and Martin Short), Schmigadoon! wasn't high art, but it was a deliriously entertaining and nostalgic affair that paid effective homage to Golden Age Hollywood musicals.

Following a strained married couple (Key and Strong) who venture into a world trapped in an old-timey musical, the catchy and amusing comedy was a great watch for theatre fans, and an often startling showcase for its legendary cast members. The second season, paying homage to musicals of the 1960s and '70s, cemented it as a real gem.

Airing on Apple TV, Schmigadoon! was cancelled after its second season, despite writing for a third season - songs and all - being completed. It would have been nice to see where the writers went next, given the breadth of musicals they still had to cover, but it wasn't meant to be.
