10 TV Shows That Just Got Renewed
6. 9-1-1
Like most things that have Ryan Murphy's name attached, 9-1-1 became a sure-fire hit for Fox when it launched in 2019. The procedural, all about first responders in LA, assembled an all-star ensemble cast, a talented team of writers and veteran executive producers, so it's not surprise to see it resonate with fans and critics alike.
With a consistent average of around 10 million viewers for its first three seasons, it was unsurprising when the network confirmed it would be staying around for set of episodes in 2021. However, not only will the main show be returning, but spin-off series 9-1-1: Lone Star (a variation of the series set in Texas and starring Rob Lowe) will also be returning for a second season.
While not attracting the same amount of viewers as its sister series, with these two shows on the air, Fox has built itself a sturdy little procedural empire that will no doubt continue to attract some incredibly prolific names going forward. Let's just hope it doesn't crumble under its ambition.
