10 TV Shows That Just Got Renewed

5. Breeders

A British-American co-production, Breeders is the brainchild of Sherlock star Martin Freeman, who also serves as the lead. Taking a frank, honest and humorous look at parenting, the comedy is partially based on Freeman's own experiences of being a father, and attempts to pull no punches in highlighting everything that comes with occupying that role.

Despite a great cast that sees the likes of Better Call Saul's Michael McKean join Freeman in a supporting role and solid, witty observations in the script, Breeders hasn't been a major ratings hit. Still, that hasn't stopped the new series from being commissioned for a second run, set to launch sometime in 2021.

Hopefully the show can find a bigger audience then, as it more than deserves it. No doubt helping the decision to bring Breeders back was the critical response to the first ten episodes, which received unanimous praise. If you've been sleeping on this, it's time to check it out.
