5. Fiona Goode (Jessica Lange) 'Coven'

"Don't make me drop a house on your bitch"...probably the best line of 'Coven', if not all of 'American Horror Story' ever. This season Lange once again steals the show as the smoking hot older lady. In 'Coven' Fiona Goode is the Supreme of Salem descendants, head witch and general badass not to be messed with.

Her obsession with eternal youth and power is her greatest weakness; she digs up a seemingly immortal Kathy Bates in hope of discovering her fountain of youth. Also, you can't forget she offed the previous supreme back in 1971 AND slit newbie with Madison's throat in exactly the same way, suspecting she would take her crown. Her constant battle with the council of witches is nowhere near over. In the episode 'Burn, Witch, Burn' Fiona turned everyone against her childhood enemy Myrtle Snow, having her burned at the stake. This isn't the last we have seen of Myrtle as already her body is being brought back to life by resurrector of the dead Misty Day- here's guessing she will be coming for Fiona. Despite this, there is an element of humanity to Fiona; in the hospital she saves the life of a stillborn baby and is clearly wracked with guilt when her daughter Cordelia is blinded with acid.

Already the signs of weakness are showing, as Fiona gets weaker with cancer, somewhere out there the next Supreme is growing stronger. Lets only hope Fiona doesn't go the way of her predecessor.
