6. Is The Truth Behind Andy Bernard's Name A Joker-esque Fiction?

Andrew "Andy" "Drew" Bernard is a sympathetic guy in the first few seasons. Sure, he has serious temper issues, but it's hard not to feel bad for the guy, as he clearly will do almost anything for acceptance. That may stem from some parental issues, as we eventually learn that Andy has a younger brother, Walter Jr., who is the clear apple of his father's eye. In fact, for the first six years of his life, Andy was named Walter Jr., until his brother was born, at which point his parents transferred the name to someone who they felt "better exemplified the Walter Jr. name." Except, is his father even really named Walter? When they're first introduced in the Season 4 finale, "Goodbye Toby," Andy calls them "Andrew and Ellen." Which would make Andy...Andy Jr.? Or does he falsely provide their names here as a bit of self-defense against any future Walter/Walter Jr. discussions that he may have with his coworkers? In which case, why would he bring the Walter Jr. thing up later and invite his coworkers to a gathering (Season 8's Garden Party) where his brother was sure to be?? OR does Andy change his parents' names on a whim, swapping them out to amuse himself? ...WANNA SEE HOW I GOT THIS SMILE??
