10 Walking Dead Moments That Made You Scared To Be Human
6. Carl Busts A Cap
Its rare that Carl Grimes gets the spotlight, largely due to his age and the protective nature of the group. Hes become a badass in his own right and earlier concerns in season 2 about him growing up acclimatized to a life of horror would prove to have merit. In the finale of season 3, the group is driving out the forces of Woodbury, led by the moodiest and most perverse pirate in history. Hershel and Carl cut off the escape of a young man of similar age to carl, if slightly older. They have the drop on him and tell him to drop his weapon. The kid fervently agrees, but takes maybe half the episode lowering his shotgun to the ground. If you wanted to say Im going to do something without words, youd pretty much do what this kid is doing, but whats more surprising is that before theres any indication the kids ready to strike, Carl decides to blow him away now and call it a day. The troubling thing here isnt that Carl liked it but that he was so matter of fact about it. There was no remorse and like Ricks what moment, we saw the shocking truth that carl was simply a product of his environment.
