10 Worst Episodes Of Community

Just like the show had to sell a little bit of its soul for cash, so did Greendale, and that's what the crux of this episode was about. The outing was a return to something simple - which was sorely needed - but didn't do much to stand out.

It followed as the students of Greendale, and the Dean, of course, tried their best to convince a rich student (Archie) to enrol in the college and spend a tonne of money. Naturally, they have to sell out their integrity to do so.

Seeing Greendale sell itself out to please a rich kid had some funny moments but also felt regressive. While high concept episodes had become the norm, and breaks were appreciated, this one walked the line between too simple and too over-the-top that it ended up feeling mundane and out of place.

It's also unfortunate that Abed's little frat warfare narrative was pushed into the background, especially as his off-screen antics sounded way more fun than what we got to see. If the whole episode had been dedicated to that format, then it might have faired better, but that's not how the cookie crumbled.

Then, to add insult to injury, the character of Archie was never seen again, making the entire outing seem pointless.
