During 2013, 5th Doctor actor, Peter Davison joked about the idea of making a fan made special starring former Doctors himself, 6th Doctor Colin Baker, and 7th Doctor Sylvester McCoy trying to crash the production of the 50th Anniversary Special. Steve Moffat loved the idea and immediately provided a budget and camera crew to make this hypothetical Doctor Who special a reality. This special is just a lot of fun to watch and it's a great tribute to all fans of Doctor who old and new. Peter Davison nails what it must be like to be a former Doctor always questioned about whether or not they would be involved in the 50th Anniversary of such a popular show. From Sylvester McCoy constantly bragging about his role in The Hobbit film, Steve Moffat using Doctor Who action figures to write his scripts, and cameos from the likes of Paul McGann, John Barrowman, Matt Smith, Jenna Louise Coleman, David Tennant, Peter Jackson, Ian McKellen and the families of many former Doctor Who stars, the Five(ish) Doctors is a fun watch for any Doctor Who fan. Later on when Peter Davison, Coin Baker, and Sylvester McCoy steal their respective Doctors' coat from the Doctor Who Experience museum, it becomes sort of an unofficial team up between the 5h, 6th and 7th Doctors. There is a moment where the three former Doctors stumble onto the current TARDIS console set, and each of them note that on the set is "too busy" or as Colin Baker said "It's dark in here I like to see what I'm doing". These comments are stated by the actors but it could easily be seen as each actor's respective Doctors commenting on the updated TARDIS interior. The milliseconds that Davison, Baker, and McCoy go into character as their Doctors are just one of the many fun bits to take out of The Five(ish) Doctors Special. The special is great to watch after re-watching The Day of The Doctor and is well worth thirty minutes of your time.
