4. Charlie Townsend (Charlie's Angels)

Next up we the Hugh Hefner of spy shows, the voice behind the Charles Townsend Agency. He was the brains behind the operation, gathering brillaint, kick ass beauties to go undercover and solve crimes. He was never seen on screen (and rightly so). The appeal of his character was his charasmatic voice and mysterious nature. There's very little we know about Charlie. He was a retired detective, who served in World War II and made a lot of enemies in his time. Were those enemies the reasons for his mysterious seclusion? Why was Bosley the only character to meet him? He was a wealthy man indeed, but where did that income come from? Ultimately, Charlie was a ladies man, someone who would probably be quite out of place in today's world. He wasn't completely chauvinistic; he had utter respect for his angels...but would a woman would work for him in the 21st century? And would his lines go down well or crash and burn?
"Any woman who expends the effort to wiggle into a pair of pants that tight, deserves the full attention of every red blooded male on the slopes".
"I'm afraid I'm, I'm eh, I'm snowed in here at Aspen, Angels. But it's not all bad, my suite offers a magnificent view of local natural formations."
(NOTE: He's not talking about the local scenery!)
