Another of the show's strongest outings, everything was going great heading into the Season 3 finale. The show was riding a wave of momentum, it had its strongest villain to date in the Governor ready for a climactic showdown with Rick, and everyone was ready to see bullets fly and bodies fall.

The writers, however, had other ideas. Instead of giving us the logical conclusion to the Prison vs Woodbury saga, they had a brief scuffle between the two that briefly threatened to burst into the explosive finale we all expected, but then subverted expectations by having Woodbury retreat and the Governor slaughter his own army for defying orders.

Couple with the suicide of Andrea, it was a major letdown to witness. The show did go some way to redeeming itself with Season 4's Too Far Gone, aka the Season 3 finale that never was. For this episode though, with so much setup, expectation, and potential, it was a complete waste.
