11 TV Shows That Deserved Another Season

11. Freaks And Geeks

NBC

No show has ever captured the high school experience quite like Freaks and Geeks. The one-season-wonder, set in a small town in Michigan in the 80s, launched in 1999 with an 18 episode season but NBC pulled it after only 12 had aired. Though the remaining episodes were eventually shown, it was hard not to feel that this excellent teen dramedy deserved better treatment from the network.

The young cast of Freaks and Geeks have gone on to have hugely successful careers. Jason Segel is a bonafide movie star, Busy Philipps has amazing TV credits, James Franco is everyone's favourite living art experiment, and Seth Rogen is the reigning king of stoner comedy. The show's producers - Paul Feig and Judd Apatow - are two of the biggest comedy directors currently working.

The impressive subsequent resumes of the cast and crew have supported fans' claims that this show really could have been something, if it had only had the chance. Unfortunately there's no chance of any of these actors passing as high school students anymore, so we're unlikely to ever get another season.

Brydie is an Australian writer and performer living in London and she complains exactly the same amount about the weather as every other Australian living in London. Yes, that is her natural lip colour, no, she will not be taking any further questions at this time.
