11 Wild Theories About Doctor Who Series 8

5. Episode 7 Will Be Set On Sarn

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JizK6y7Fjks Ever since location filming in Lanzarote was announced, this has been by far the biggest (and frankly the most plausible) Series 8 rumour to hit the internet. Because 1984€™s Planet Of Fire was filmed in Lanzarote where it doubled for the planet Sarn, and Episode 7 is one that will see the Doctor return to the scene of an old adventure, Classic Who fans have been putting two and two together and getting a Planet Of Fire sequel. The Doctor finding sinister changes at the scene of the old adventure would work for Sarn since it was a planet that produced medicinal gases and suffered a series of volcanic eruptions at the climax of Planet Of Fire. And of the many things that could cause sinister changes to a planet, massive volcanic eruptions are certainly a biggie. Just what the Doctor is doing there is unknown but judging by the spacesuits and the presence of Hermione Norris€™s character, it€™s definitely not a bucket and spade holiday. If the planet is Sarn then a possibility for them being there is some kind of geology expedition, or an attempt to mine the last of the planet's healing Numismaton gas. There€™s not much to go on but if it is true, there will be some very happy fanboys out there in nine weeks€™ time.
