The Pokémon anime series is a goofy and light-hearted show full of beloved characters, but these villains take the cake for being some of the most popular in the franchise. Jessie and James (and don't forget Meowth) are a collection of villains who have become icons not just in anime but pop culture in general.

Team Rocket, in itself, is a whole criminal organisation of Pokémon trainers who steal other people's Poké Balls. But, when you think of the name, this dastardly trio are the first thing that comes to mind.

Jessie, James and Meowth are villains in that they intend to steal Ash's Pikachu, but they're so goofy and ridiculous that you can't help but love them. Their plans never go their way, as they're constantly thwarted (quite easily, in fact). This not only makes them a big piece of comic relief in the series but also makes you wish they could catch a break every now and again.

Thanks to their iconic looks, hilarious personalities, funny dialogue and consistent presence in the franchise, they have become some of the most well-loved characters in anime, regardless of their affiliations.
