12 Awesome TV Shows You Can Only Watch Once

1. The Sopranos

That ending. What else is there to say?

The finale created the question of whether The Sopranos€™ legacy is more about the frustratingly ambiguous ending than how great the show was prior to that diner scene. The show was an excellent study of a crime family led by the late great James Gandolfini. His portrayal of Tony Soprano was one of the first in the run of anti-heroes that fans were able to enjoy.

Inevitably, the show's finale was one of the most anticipated in TV history, and it arrived with sky-high expectations.

Even non-fans know of the famous cut-to-black-as-Journey-plays that concluded the show. The ending had fans desperately checking their cable box and calling the cable company asking if HBO had suddenly gone out. They were sadly mistaken.

Reaction was hugely divisive, with some arguing that it was a major cop-out and others claiming that the uncertain ending was the perfect note for Tony to go out on. Whether or not you like the ambiguity, sitting through the entire show again just isn€™'t worth it with the non-ending in the back of your mind.
