Words are not enough to describe how dreadfully lame this Monty Pythoon rip off parading as a Comedy truly was. Lead by two half decent actors in Justin Chub and Chris Bran, the show did succeed in creating an Absurdist feel, with a real sense of surrealism pouring off the screen. Unfortunately Chub and Bran forgot to insert any humour on top of their 'whimsical' scripts.

What exists of a premise follows the townsfolk of Jinsy lead by their leader Maven, who continually finds himself in trouble and needing rescuing at the hands of his right hand man Sporall. Show creators Chub and Bran played the two leads, as well as numerous 'side' characters, with the likes of David Tennant and Catherine Tate appearing in guest roles. While Tennant and Tate can't be entirely blamed for the mess that was their episodes, it didn't make the process of sitting through their performances any less painful. Both go for extreme caricatures without ever landing a decent laugh, or even a glib smile for that matter.

The failure to attract interest in the show can be seen by its problematic distribution. After a pilot episode for the BBC, the show was palmed off to Sky Atlantic, before resuming for a second season three years later. With viewing figures that struggled to reach 100k on a consistent basis, it is staggering that the show lasted as long as it did.
