12 Best It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia Guest Stars

From Family Guy to SNL, Family Feud has been parodied to the extent that in terms of originality it scores a great big X accompanied by the sound of a buzzer and disappointed sighs.

But in true It’s Always Sunny style, the episode ‘The Gang Goes on Family Fight’ is refreshingly surreal, original and inherently hilarious. And whilst this is of course the result of the show’s main characters providing their signature dose of beer/glue fuelled rage, manic energy and offbeat chaos, this episode’s strength is in no small part the result of the show’s host Grant Anderson, played excellently by Keegan-Michael Key.

Like an Emperor with sartorial elegance, Key begins proceedings with the natural swagger and calm demeanour of many well-known TV quiz hosts. However, like an Emperor whose kingdom is crumbling around him, Key becomes increasingly irate, distressed and emotionally drained as the gang’s antics ramp up.

With Dennis crumbling under the pressure (and the sound of the buzzer) and Dee fainting among a litany of other charges, Key revels in the groups demise, eventually confirming to Dennis that this will all be aired.

Unlike Dennis, Key rises to the challenge and certainly has one of the best guest appearances in the show’s run.
