Doctor Who Filming Christopher Eccleston Billie Piper Back in 2004 the TARDIS reopened its doors as filming on the brand new series of Doctor Who officially commenced in Cardiff and, if the picture above is anything to go by, Billie Piper was certainly happy about the concept of becoming one of the iconic show's new leading stars. Christopher Eccleston, not so much. His facial expression is very in keeping with his character, though.
