8. Time Lord Square
Central Park wasn't the only iconic New York landmark the show set its sights on during its foray across the pond for The Angels Take Manhattan. The clue was in the title, really, so they made the most of their US backdrop as the Doctor and his companion also ventured to Times Square, though in the episode itself it was a (don't) blink and you'll miss it sort of thing. Here's Matt Smith and Karen Gillan in the middle of the action as they discuss shots with the episode's director, Nick Hurran. Rory had been zapped back in time by this point so unfortunately he missed out on the party. Arthur Darvill has more than made up for it since, though, thanks to his Broadway run in Once, so don't feel too bad for him, eh?
