12 Fictional TV Locations It'd Blow Your Mind to Visit

8. Springfield (The Simpsons)

The simpsons

Probably the most iconic location on this list, appearing in all 530 episodes in all 24 seasons of the show (approximately 265 hours or 11 days worth of continuous TV), the city of Springfield is located in the state that borders Ohio, Nevada, Maine and Kentucky (possibly the state of North Takoma). Founded in 1796 by Jebediah Springfield - town motto: A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man - you could spend days in Springfield just seeing everything, though given Newsweek once referred to the settlement as "America's crud bucket", the question remains, "Why would you?" Still, if you're a fan of urban sprawl, there's a lot to look at, if not exactly admire: from the home of Springfield's most famous family at 742 Evergreen Terrace to Springfield Nuclear Power Plant with its celebrated three-eyed fish by way of Moe's Tavern, home of the famous Flaming Moe (the secret ingredient is cough syrup *doh*) or the Kwik-E-Mart run by Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, seemingly the only immigrant in the whole city (and whose voice bears some strangely underlying similarities to Moe and Police Chief Wiggum). Springfield: come for the freak/fun/funerals, stay for the food/guilt/pie. And all together now...
