The Doctor couldn't get rid of Catherine Tate quick enough when she was first introduced as a loud and brash bride to be in the 2006 Christmas Special, The Runaway Bride. She came back with bells on in Series 4, though, and wasted no time in establishing herself as one of the most popular companions in Doctor Who history. Laughter is Catherine's forte and, while she did get to stretch her comedic muscles during her acclaimed tenure aboard the TARDIS, she really went to town (and then some!) when she was introduced as the crass and socially inept Nellie Bertram in the Emmy award-winning US remake of Ricky Gervais' The Office. The Donna Noble star was originally written in as a guest but ended up appearing in 37 episodes when she was reinstated as a series regular for its eighth and final season.
