12 Mega Movie Stars Appearing In Essential 2014 TV Shows
10. Nick Frost - Mr. Sloane
You know him from: Shaun of the Dead (2004), Hot Fuzz (2007), The Adventures of Tintin (2011) Best know for his comedic partnership with fellow funny-man Simon Pegg and director Edgar Wright; the trio made their debut on British screens in the cult TV hit Spaced (1999). They followed it up with the popular "Cornetto Trilogy" a series of dramatically unrelated comedy films starring the acting duo and helmed by Wright. Frost is striking out on his own this year, starring in the Sky Atlantic romantic comedy Mr. Sloane, written and directed by Curb Your Enthusiasm producer and director Robert B. Weide. Set in Watford in 1969, Frost's character is a man in the midst of a mid-life crisis, whose life is turned around after a chance at a new job and a new love interest. Don't expect the sleek, sharp styling's of 60s period drama Mad Men however, warns costume designer Annie Hardinge, "Watford was quite a drab place in 1969. Jeremy Sloan has no sense of style. He's still wearing what he wore in 1961."
