From one legendary comic-book event to another, in late 2019 CW attempted what was arguably the most ambitious TV crossover in history with Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Keeping in line with the source material, they absolutely emptied the cupboard with regards to crossover stars and guest appearances. The crossover featured stars from DC movies and shows across decades, with appearances from the likes of Tom Welling, Kevin Conroy, Burt Ward, Tom Ellis and a host of others. It even tied in with DC’s other shows such as Titans and Doom Patrol.

At the heart of the story, was the Anti-Monitor, a being from the antimatter universe bent on destroying the multiverse.

A cosmic entity and opposite to the Monitor, this Big Bad was let into the positive matter universe when the latter tore a hole in reality by visiting the moment of the Big Bang.

Anti-Monitor’s powers extend across realities and he is nearly un-killable. He also has the brains to back his considerable brawn, as he subtly inserts his own pawn amidst the heroes in order to manipulate their actions.

At the final battle, it needed the end of Stephen Amell’s nearly decade long iconic run as Arrow to put a stop to him. That’s what you get for failing this multiverse.
