Before The Boys showed us the very worst of commercialized superheroes, it was Powers which took the first popular attempt at showcasing what superheroes would look like if they existed in our real world.

Here, the heroes known as Powers are basically celebrities with massive PR machines backing them up. The most powerful among them, is Big Bad Wolfe. Wolfe has the ability to drain the superpowers of others, making him more powerful while stripping them off their abilities. The very premise of the show focusses on one such Power who had his powers taken away from him by the villain.

Things go sideways rather fast for Mr. Wolfe as the show progresses, as he faces capture and periodic lobotomy in order to prevent him from getting too strong.
