12 Sci-Fi TV Shows Let Down By Terrible Endings
1. Dark Matter
Lasting three seasons, Dark Matter was a solid Syfy
series based on the comic series of the same name by Joseph Mallozzi and Paul
Mullie. The show followed an ensemble cast featuring genre stalwarts ranging
from Continuum’s Roger Cross to Silent Hill’s Jodelle Ferladn and boasted a
stellar premise.
A sextet of survivors awaken aboard a starship with no recollection of how they got there or who they are, forcing the tense team to work together in order to discover their identities—as well as how they ended up here, and who’s responsible for their predicament.
So, what was the plan behind this ragtag group of unlikely heroes, each of whom had a distinct skill and disadvantage which gradually allowed them to become an effective team, being thrown together? Well, the show’s fourth season had an answer—or at least it would have done, if the show hadn’t been cancelled after its third season ended on a tense cliff hanger, leaving fans with no answers—and in the middle of a space battle, no less!
